Jim has provided professional appraisals and related services in both the public and private sectors since 1971. As an appraiser, he has held positions with First Interstate/Wells Fargo Bank, as well as the Oregon Department of Revenue in Deschutes County (Bend) where he was the Chief Appraiser.

Most recently he worked for Bank of America/Home Focus Valuation Services and held positions as Senior Appraiser, Assistant Vice President and District Manager from 1992 to 2005. Jim was awarded Bank of America’s nation wide “Customer Service Award” in 1999. He has been accepted as an expert witness in Oregon Courts and Department of Revenue hearings, he has testified before The Oregon State Legislature and has had appraisal procedures sustained and confirmed by The Oregon Tax Court and The Oregon Supreme Court. Jim is a candidate member of The National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers.
